O.C. Bach started the family drilling tradition in Michigan in 1894. Henry Bach, Sr. then began drilling in the oil fields of the midwest, then moving to Washington State where his son Courtney Bach continued Bach drilling in Central Washington in 1943. Since then Courtney's son Mike Bach and his sons, Mike, Jr. and Jeremy, have maintained the family drilling business in Kittitas county.
Some of our work includes municipal water systems for Hyak and Snoqualmie ski areas, the cities of Easton, Thorp, Ellensburg, Vantage, Cle Elum and Walla Walla. We have also done drilling jobs for Grand Coulee Dam and the fish hatchery wells at Bonneville Dam. Using our experience from these larger wells that produce more water lets us use different developing techniques and have more options when it comes to designing domestic water systems. Also, working with hydrologists on these jobs gives us experience and information for problem solving with different types of wells. Bach drilling prides itself in offering the highest percentage of usable domestic wells in Kittitas county.
